Chapter 376 The Demon versus the Protectors part 2

Chapter 376 The Demon versus the Protectors part 2

Storm took a stance, his eyes closed into slits as he stared at the demon. There was a slight trembling in his hands, but he did his best to mask it and make sure that it didn't show.

"We are the heroes, born of the celestials, the ones that stand against you demons," Storm declared.

"Ohhh? It finally makes sense," the demon said and removed his sword from the ground. A long, web-like crack formed as the demon pulled out his sword.

Storm didn't want to wait for this demon to make the first move. "Heroes, let's take this demon down!" he yelled and charged in.

His speed was teleport-like, his movements were straight yet held an amount of uncertainty in them. He rushed in with his sword at his side, then leaped into the air, raising the sword up. The clouds roared and raged in that instant, and a massive bolt of lightning fell from the sky and hit the sword. Your journey continues on My Virtual Library Empire

Channeling that crazy amount of lightning into the sword, he swung down. The temperature reached heights of the sun in that instant.

But rather than block, the demon watched the blade come toward him, and in the last fraction of a second, he suddenly moved.

It took a step back and then used his sword to block, completely nullifying Storm's attack. A clash shockwave followed—it was so powerful that Storm was thrown back. He flipped in the air and landed on his feet.

"Are you really the strongest in the world now, or am I missing something? Well, it doesn't matter now, does it?" the demon said, and then he took a stance. In the following second, he vanished.

Both heroes and demons looked around, trying to find him, but they couldn't. Then, out of nowhere, he appeared behind one of the heroes—the weakest hero, Gerund.

Gerund was a buff man with two cross-axes on his back. He had a long beard that gave him a rough look.

Gerund's eyes opened wide when he felt a sudden presence behind him. He wanted his body to move, but even as he tried, he felt he was not fast enough.

No matter what age and time, in this world, there must exist a dark dragon. If there fails to be at least one dark dragon, this world would crumble on itself.

So I ask again, where is the dark dragon?" the demon asked. This time, his voice was commanding. His tone made it clear that a lie would put all of them in danger.

"He is not here," Daegon said.

The demon vanished and appeared right in front of Daegon, his sword hacking down from above, ripping through space.

Daegon reacted as fast as he could, transforming into his full dragon form instantly, though the blade still hit and cut through his shoulder.

As he transformed, there was still a deep gash on one of his wings, and it was burning with black flames that didn't want to go out.

Daegon moved as fast as he could. He flapped his wings and shot into the air, but the demon followed.

Storm made a quick move and caused a tower of rock to shoot out of the ground and grab hold of the demon's legs.

But that didn't even manage to slow the demon down. The rock tower shattered, and the demon flew, catching up to Daegon in an instant.

Daegon turned mid-air and shot out a stream of extremely hot flames, but the demon flew right through them.

The demon held his sword like a spear and threw it. The sword traveled at an instantaneous speed and hit Daegon right in the gut, passing through him and coming out on the other side.

The impact of the small sword was so powerful that it sent Daegon plummeting down.
