Chapter 249 Goodbye to the Girls, Back to the Garden of Destiny
Chapter 249 Goodbye to the Girls, Back to the Garden of Destiny
[You have slain the Abyssal Titan and gained 20 billion experience points!]
Alex almost choked when he saw the notification.
Defeating monsters far stronger than himself truly had its rewards in Universal Descent.
He couldn't help but grin as the next notification popped up.
[You have completed your Tier 7 advancement task.]
[Return to Kaelios for your rewards.]
[You have received 29 billion experience points.]
On top of the massive experience boost from killing the Titan, clearing the other monsters in the area had added even more.
This was officially the best farming spot Alex had ever come across, better than even the notorious ninth floor of the [Tower of Destiny].
He would come back to it later to possibly defeat the [Abyssal Titan] in NB+ as it would grant more experience.
And now, it was permanently added to his [World Map], meaning he could return here anytime he wanted.
Reaching level 700 was no joke.
The experience curve between levels had grown absurd, and it now required 1 billion experience points to level up once.
In addition to that, the amount of experience points added between levels kept going up and up, from 2 million to 4 million to 10 million...
At level 700, the amount of experience between each level was at 50,000,000.
Even then, a single monster here gave enough experience to make this easily achievable.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
The sound of level-up notifications filled his ears.
[You have reached level 701, gaining 4 stat points for every attribute and 5 free points to assign.]
[You have reached level 702...]
[You have reached level 703...]
One by one, the levels piled up.
.
.
.
[You have reached level 719.]
[Level: 719 (1,450,000,000/1,950,000,000 experience points).]
Alex exhaled, running a hand through his hair. "Phew."
The amount of experience required to level up was staggering now, but gaining 19 levels in just a few hours was nothing short of incredible.
Still, he knew he had to keep grinding here to push even further, especially with the looming [Dragon Bloodline Trial] only two weeks away.
But before anything else...
[Extract from the Abyssal Titan?]
Alex placed his palm on the remains of the massive monster.
When it came to small mobs, Alex mostly took attributes, and when it wasn't an option, he just took a random item that he added to the [Digital Inventory Watch].
She didn't share the same emotional connection as the others, but she admired his strength and determination.
Alex took a deep breath, pulling everyone into a brief hug, except Eleonora, who remained respectfully distant.
"I'll be back," he assured them.
Turning to Eleonora, he added, "And I'll bring back the [Annihilation Crucifix]."
The dragon's eyes widened slightly at his words.
She nodded, her faith in him growing.
Before leaving, Alex tapped his [Digital Inventory Watch], and a large pile of items materialized in front of him.
Swords, daggers, armor pieces, attribute point packs, upgrade materials, and more spilled out.
"Use these," he said. "I'm sure when I come back, you'll all be stronger too."
The girls and the foxes stared at the treasure trove in awe.
For a tribe that had always struggled to defend itself, this was a windfall beyond their wildest dreams.
Alice wiped her eyes and clenched her fists. "We won't disappoint you, Alex."
"Good," Alex grinned. With one final wave, he opened his [World Map], selected the [Garden of Destiny], and teleported away.
The girls watched him disappear, determination burning in their eyes.
"We'll get stronger," Alice declared, raising her arm.
"Yeah!" the fox girls cheered in unison.
They might have been a small, weak tribe before, but with Alex's gifts and their own resolve, they were ready to rise.
Alex appeared in the [Garden of Destiny], making his way to its center.
Kaelios was lounging under a tree, a book balanced on his head as if he were napping.
"So, you're back," came a voice.
Alex glanced around but quickly realized it wasn't Kaelios speaking.
A glowing light clone had emerged from the god's body, moving around lazily.
"You like showing off your tricks," Alex commented, amused.
The clone smirked before returning to Kaelios, who finally stirred.
With a snap of his fingers, the book disappeared, and he sat up.
"You figured me out," Kaelios chuckled. "Deserving of being my chosen one."
Alex tossed the [Abyssal Titan Core] to him.
Kaelios caught it effortlessly, inspecting it with a discerning eye.
"That's the real deal," he said after a moment. "You did well. Fast, too. I'll give you 100 points!"
Ding!
[Tier 7 Advancement Task Rating: SSS.]
Alex raised an eyebrow. "So, what now?"
Kaelios grinned, tossing the core aside like it was nothing. "Now, we get to the real stuff."
It was time to claim his reward, and take his next step forward.
