If he were to follow Ashen's suggestion, the clan would attract animosity from the Ni clan, the clan of the old man who was the first elder of the clan. His name was Ni Shim and he was one of the only three emperor realm experts of the Ni Clan.
If they were to execute him in front of everyone, that would clearly make the Shang clan the enemy of the Ni clan. However, the reason was justified and of course, the Shang clan was much more powerful than the Ni clan.
With a determined expression, she assured Ni Shim: "Don't worry, I'll make him take back his complaint and annul this trial."

Ashen, on the other hand, waited patiently for her to arrive. He had already expected this to happen. The only reason he wanted execution as a punishment for Ni Shim was to make the princess come to his room alone and ask for his help.

Ashen heard the knocking sound on his door. He stood up and opened the door with a smile. And sure enough, the princess was standing there with the woman in the dark clothes.
"Yes? How may I help the great 8th princess?" Ashen asked with a smile and in an exaggerated respectful tone as if mocking her for what she said earlier in the trial. He didn't want to be disciplined again just because she found his tone disrespectful.
"Let me come inside first!" She said calmly.
"Only you can come inside, Leave your guard out of my room!" Ashen instructed.
The princess nodded in understanding before entering his room.
Ashen locked the door from inside to have some alone time with his beloved sister.
The room was befitting the young lord of the Shang Clan. It was huge with walls decorated with intricate designs. A couch set in the center of the room and a massive bed is placed in the upper middle point of the room. There were luxurious items used as decorations to lighten up the place and for illumination, lanterns were used.
"I see you've locked the door," The princess said, her voice husky with a hint of amusement, as she sauntered closer to Ashen, her high heels clicking on the cold stone floor. "Afraid someone might interrupt our little chat?"
