Chapter 253 - Interlude Faction War; Raider Alliance VS Drifter Coalition Force Breakdown

Note: these stats will represent available forces at war start

Raider Alliance:

Members: Drathik Raiders, Dregari Remnant, Folian Alliance

Battleships: 16

Carriers: 7

Light Carriers: 207

Heavy Cruisers: 43

Light Cruisers: 594

Destroyers: 7492

Frigates: 15923

The Raider Alliance controls nearly fifty colonies. Their most distant member is the Dregari, who control one colony directly and have dominion over seven more 'worlds.' Meanwhile, the Folians control seven colonies.

Raider Alliance territory runs primarily along the outer edge of the rim for nearly five hundred lightyears and runs two hundred light years deep. This massive chunk of territory is home to numerous debris fields and outposts, which make up the bulk of the Raider economy.

The Raiders garner the majority of their resources from raiding their more fortunate neighbors and as such have a large military. However, some members of the alliance do engage in limited salvage and mining operations. The alliance is notable for having a thriving small ship construction industry which plays well into their large number of light vessels. Although the Dregari invasion fleet alone was able to lend several thousand frigates to the alliance, in exchange for materials to bring many of them back to operational status. The recent addition of drone technology has also allowed them to restore their carriers to proper operational status, and deploy light drone carriers as well.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Drifter Coalition:Members: Gyn'ri Drifters, Raythil Cooperative, Sol Refuge

Battleships: 16, with 3 out of action for repair

Battlecarriers: 1 (EFS Enterprise)

Converted Carriers (Battlecruiser): 13

Heavy Cruisers: 28

Light Cruisers: 782

Destroyers: 6452

Frigates: 8972

In the Coalition, the recent raid at the Outpost has delayed the development of drone technology. Coalition vessels have not been outfitted with drone fighters as a result, although the Enterprise does remain uniquely capable of launching fighters; manned fighters.

What carriers the coalition does have were converted into large battlecruisers. They feature limited armor, and large guns, making them effective at hunting lighter vessels. The Converted Carriers perform poorly against large capital ships like heavy cruisers and battleships, especially battleships.

Economically the Coalition is generally stronger with thriving trade routes between the Cooperative and the Drifters. The Refuge being fairly new to the Coalition has the weakest economy of the three members while the cooperative has the strongest.

The Drifters claim thirty-eight colonies across two hundred light years of the storm, while the cooperative claim forty-nine colonies across one hundred fifty. Together they control almost as much space as the raiders but they have more worlds.
