author: this chapter was difficult to write. i'm not at all happy with it, but i've spent most of the day on it, so i must post it now.

with this chapter, volume 3 ends full of information after battling against the city of clans. i was planning to give it a different ending, but i can't get what i'm thinking, to be good without extending it too much. so, i decided to leave aside everything i was planning and finish it at once to avoid falling into unnecessary filler.

volume 4 will reveal several things that matthew learned in these last chapters that have not been said because they are associated with very specific topics, such as empowerment.

now, volume 4 might be the most extended volume of the novel, i will strive to get it right and improve.
