Chapter 545 Going to train

545 Going to train

Matthew wasn't aware of what had happened there, so he didn't think much of it. He knew Cecily had a plan, but he didn't care about that, so he decided to get moving.

A week later, Matthew had made good progress in his training, and Isla and Alice managed to achieve an Early Understanding of the Path of Control, which greatly increased the group's overall power. Emma also improved in leaps and bounds, so overall, everyone became stronger.

Still, that morning was to be one of joy, but it turned into a morning when everyone was upset as the territories Matthew had invested in were attacked.

"Matt, don't worry. I'll personally go and tidy that place up, " Alice looked at Isla and Emma. "Can you two come with me? Those bastards dare to attack us openly; let's test our power on them."

Emma and Isla nodded. "Of course. Since you want to go, we'll accompany you." After telling her this, they looked at Matthew to tell them they would take care of it.

"Wait." Just then, a voice came from outside, and Ava walked in, followed by two more girls. "Since you all want to go, how about I join you? These days, my hands are burning because I want to beat up a few idiots."

"That would be best."

Matthew, who was watching from the side, stood up. "If you guys want to take care of this yourselves, that's fine. I'll send some people to investigate who those bastards are. In the meantime, there are some things I have to do, so I'll be out for a few days."

"It's all right, Matt. You go do your business, and we'll take care of the territory problems. We don't have any important classes these days, so we can take care of everything."

.

After a quick goodbye, Matthew flew to the kingdom's capital and purchased a personal flying boat. Subsequently, he flew south.

He had been to the west before, and his own territory was that way. The far western mountains had a good presence of powerful beasts and even devourers, but nothing compared to the beasts of the south.

Now that he needed to train, as he felt he was reaching a key point in his control training, he needed to seek out places with a lot of beast and devourer presence to do so, as the humans were very quiet these days.

'Well, at least they didn't forget to protect the race.' He smiled and looked at the faces.

'They have a good sculptor here, and the resemblance is amazing.'

Still, he wasn't here to admire works of art. After looking around the city for a couple of hours and buying information, he walked out of the city toward the mountain range.

'The trees here are huge. How old are these things?'

In the southern mountain range, the trees had the thickest trunks he had ever seen. They were so thick that destroying them could take weeks for normal people, and even powerful vampires could see the difficulties in destroying one. They looked sturdier than many of the thick walls built by vampires in the big cities.

Matthew's clearest memories are of the last 50 years when he was in a world with trees with a maximum lifespan of 3,000 to 5,000 years. Seeing trunks as thick as these made him admire them.

'Trees over 100,000 years old, huh? Amazing.' He smiled and continued on his way through the great mountains.

Still, he hadn't even taken 100 steps inside when he had to stop and jump off at the top.

Just then, many small rats jumped onto where he was standing. Their mouths were wide open, and they had sharp teeth. They were rats about 35 centimeters long, but because of their strange teeth, they looked more like dogs.

'Oh, these are good for making poison potions. If I'm not mistaken, they have much poison in their teeth.' Matthew spun in the air with agility and fell to the ground, hitting it with his fist.

His powerful blow caused the rats to tremble in midair, and they all died suddenly.

'A heart attack... Shit, I didn't think they were that weak.' Startled, he bent down and stuffed them all into his storage ring. Lately, he had learned that the weapons he wanted to make lent themselves very well to shooting poison, so he could use them to find poisonous animals like these.

After a small fight that ended as quickly as it started, he continued on his way.

But he had learned his lesson. He had to restrain himself while in the vicinity, for he needed to train, not kill for the sake of killing.
