Chapter 172 Your Voice
Chapter 172 Your Voice
Time flew by unknowingly during the music video shoot, and it wasn't until the filming ended and Tilan relaxed that she realized it was already 7 o'clock in the evening.
"Here, have something to eat."
Audrey came over with a small box of cake and placed it in Tilan's hands. The bottom layer of the cake was a goose-yellow sponge, topped with a thick layer of pale green, jelly-like transparency.
It must be a T4 grade food item. The girl could sense a hint of transcendent effect, likely aimed at replenishing energy and nutrition.
The two of them came to a quiet and dimly lit balcony, leaned against the railing, enjoyed the cool evening breeze, ate the sweet cake, and savored a moment of relaxation.
"The view from here is really nice." Audrey said while scooping out a piece of cake with a small fork and chatting with Tilan.@@@@
"Sometimes when I get tired from work, I sit here for a while, especially in the evening, it feels really good."
"Tilan, you're still in school, right? How do you find school life? I've been too busy with songstress work and this small company, so I hardly ever go to school anymore, I just study remotely at home."
"I do envy my peers sometimes, being able to fully experience academy life." Audrey said, looking up at the neon-lit buildings in the distance, with the purple and blue lights gliding over her face.
"You can indeed make quite a few friends at school." Tilan replied.
"But, not everything is free of troubles." She shook her head.
"Some classmates aren't easy to get along with. Ordinary kids also face the pressures of exams and job hunting. Only a small fraction can live carefree, without a worry."
"What about you, Audrey? You probably didn't deal with much songstress-related work in middle school, right?"
In school and in front of strangers, her mother usually said she was Hexia, but at home, she would call her Tilan, as if it were more affectionate and endearing.
Her thoughts drifted, and she became curious again. Logically, if she and her sister were twins, there was no reason why she would have an additional name but her sister wouldn't.
Unfortunately, she couldn't find anyone to ask now, and perhaps she should check the records to see if her mother had written anything at the time of their birth registration.
"Can't think of anything, it seems like I can't offer any suggestions for Tilan," Audrey decided to give up after pondering for a while.
"Let's just see what Tilan likes; maybe inspiration will come later on."
The two of them then talked about the origins of other songstresses' stage names, some based on their favorite things, others on nicknames given according to the songstress's personality and performance, and so on. These titles often related to the songstress's style.
The more they talked, the more topics they covered until they heard a series of shouts and vibrations from downstairs. Despite the excellent soundproofing, they could feel the enthusiasm and surging emotions coming from a not-too-distant floor.
"There must be a band organizing a performance," Audrey explained.
"This is the Agleya District, a hub of music and entertainment companies. It's probably that celebrity who booked the venue for a small concert tonight."
"Compared to those large concerts with tens of thousands of people, this kind of music event is less formal. Both audience and performers are more relaxed, sometimes even allowing the audience to perform in their place. It's like them having a good time with close friends and fellow enthusiasts," she added.
"Most of the people present are from the industry, friends, acquaintances, or friends of friends."
"Do you want to check it out, Tilan? The music video is done anyway, and the rest is up to them for editing and sound mixing."
Feeling a bit intrigued by the invitation, Tilan nodded.
The two of them left the room, greeted the others from the company, took the elevator down, and arrived at the floor where they had heard the shouts and vibrations earlier.
