What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

Chapter 129 They Still Need Help

Chapter 129 They Still Need Help

We left through the main entrance after we finished looting the place.

There was a handcart in the storeroom so we took one of the boxes and dumped the stuff in them before loading up on the cart.

I think we really need to find something that could help us carry our loot so that we don't need to worry about things like this anymore.

Maybe we could get ourselves some kind of carrier drone that could function as a storage? That would be pretty cool I think.

Speaking of which... I was now quite sure this was the entertainment district of the station... Or at least one of the entertainment districts.

There were bars, clubs, casinos, stripclubs, brothels and what I assume to be drug dens littered along the street. Some of them were obviously well maintained while others like the building we just exited from were crumbling and left in a state of disrepair.

Our current destination was supposed to be the hangar where we would be able to drop off all this loot and take them to the Trader Union to sell off.

But the problem right now was the fact that we don't know which direction was the hangar.

"Should we ask someone?" I suggested.

Amber shrugged, "I suppose... But we're not exactly in a rush are we?"

Lea turned to her, "You can't be suggesting..."

"What? After all that, I kind of want to have a drink! And we're already here anyway so why not, right?"

Lea looked around and frowned, "I do not know what the time is but I believe it's barely past afternoon..."

"Hey, I already said that it's never too early to drink with your lover, didn't I?"

"I believe you weren't serious when you said that back then."

"Oh believe me, I was totally serious when I said that~ Come on, Tera! Let's go get some drinks!"

I have to admit, I was kind of curious about the place too so I didn't mind following her.

But...

"What about this?" I asked, gesturing at the cart loaded with our loot.

Amber waved her hand, "We can just leave it aside when we drink! It'll be fine!"

Lea scoffed, "Sure it will... Someone will try to steal it the moment you take your eyes off of it, I guarantee you."

"Let's just bring it back to the ship first, alright? We can come back here later if you still want to," I suggested.

Amber turned to me, "Promise?"

"Err... Sure?" I muttered, wondering why she would be so insistent on coming back here to drink. It's not like we never drank together before, right?

Still, we decided to ask someone for directions to the hangar.

The first person I decided to approach was a woman leaning against a wall smoking on a cigarette who perked up when she noticed us approaching her.

Ugh... In for a penny, in for a pound I guess...

I turned back to look at Lea and Amber who were both giving me the same look which told me that they were also thinking the same thing.

I faced the asshole again and pointed at the girls, "What are you planning to do with them?"

"I said fuck off, bitch! Are you just hard of hearing or something? You wanna--"

He didn't get to finish his words as I kicked him in between the legs and smashed my elbow down on the top of his head when he doubled over, knocking him onto the ground, unconscious.

Lea had already lowered herself into a crouch and propped up her rifle to aim it down the alley.

Ok, we aren't going to kill them unless they start shooting first, so Lea would mainly just be our backup in case things go south.

Both Amber and I rushed into the alley, surprising two of the men closest to the alley's entrance and jumping them before they could even react.

I kicked my target in the small of his back, causing him to stumble forward and knock into another thug in front of him.

While the two of them were trying to untangle themselves to turn around, I did a drop kick which smashed the bottom of my foot into the face of the first guy I kicked and knocked him out.

The second guy tried to pull out his gun, only to realise it was stuck under the guy I had knocked out.

He looked up just as I whipped the butt of my shotgun across his face, the thug joining his comrade in unconsciousness.

I turned to the side just in time to see Amber choke deliver an uppercut on her last guy with enough force to send him airborne for a second before he came crashing back down.

Looking behind her, I noticed a very visible fist imprint on the face of the first thug Amber attacked.

Wait... Did she really knock some of his teeth out too? Damn... That must have been one hell of a punch.

I then directed my attention to the girls who were cowering in the corner and made a face at them.

"Really? We barely got you all out for five minutes and you almost got yourselves taken again?"

One of the girls l stepped forward hesitatingly, "It's... It's not like we want to be captured... What are we supposed to do if bandits like them come at us with guns?"

Ugh... Fair enough.

I gestured at them, "Do you all have somewhere that you can return to? Family members or whatever inside this station?"

A few of them nodded but I noticed that several of them did not and lowered their heads instead to hide their faces.

Amber came to my side, "Probably squatters or former slaves abandoned by their owners before they got dumped here. They definitely have nowhere to go."

I groaned, "Alright... Do any of you know where the hangar is? We can escort you girls there first then those who have places they can return to, you can go. As for the rest... I suppose we will have to figure something out..."

Godamnit... What did I even get myself involved in?

I guess I could just leave them to their fates too but... Ughh... That would leave a bad taste in my mouth especially after I told them they were safe only for them to end up like this...

Fuck...
