What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

Chapter 251 She Really Wants A Teacher

Chapter 251 She Really Wants A Teacher

I stared at the chef that was literally kneeling in front of me pleading to teach her for some reason.

Err... What happened to challenging me to a cooking battle?

Why is she kneeling on the floor in front of me and looking at me like that?

"Please teach me, Master!" She repeated, probably thinking I did not hear her the first time.

"Umm... I heard you the first time. What makes you think I can teach you though?"

She blinked at me while still remaining on her knees, "You are a chef from the inner colonies, right? That's why you could identify all those problems the dishes had?"

Oh... Now I know why she's acting like this... She thought that someone who was superior to her had showed up in her restaurant like some high class chef from an even better establishment... That's why she was trying to get me to teach her and would even get on her knees to plead for it.

This all makes sense now.

"Umm... Sorry to burst your bubble but... I'm not from the inner colonies."

Now it was her turn to look surprised, "Wait... You aren't from the inner colonies?"

I shook my head.

"Then... How do you know about food?"

"I'm self taught," I told her honestly.

With that, I was fully expecting her to change her attitude towards me where she would treat me like some kind of dirt and dismiss my opinions of her cooking and even throw us out.

"That's... Are you a genius then?" She muttered.

Is she actually being serious right now?

I frowned at her, "Are you just a really trusting person or something?"

She actually looked confused by my question, "Eh? I don't think I am? Why?"

"I mean... I do appreciate the fact that you trust me but aren't you even the least bit suspicious of the possibility that I was just talking out of my ass?"

"Umm... I do not believe so... Because you're the only group of people who have ever thought the taste of the food was not good enough. Everyone who has eaten the food so far all thought that the taste was phenomenal... Even if they might complain about the price, they would never complain about the taste."

Wait... Oh right... All of us were already used to the taste of organic food in the first place so this tastes 'normal' to us. For others who have primarily eaten synthfood as their staple food, this would be a delicacy to them.

Coupled with the fact that the other organic foods that we've eaten from other places also taste worse than this one, I think I could safely assume that this would indeed be the best food most, if not all, customers have tasted in their life.

I scratched my cheek, "But how do you know if a customer isn't just being difficult by lying about the taste of the food?"

"That's quite easy... Most people wouldn't even be able to talk properly after eating my food, much less complain about it. Yet all of you not only had no reaction to it, you were critical of the taste as well."

Right... The girls still melt into puddles of bliss while eating my food which I suspect might be the case for her customers as well.

"Alright, fine. You got me. I may not be from the inner colonies but I do know how to cook. Although I am under no obligation to teach you anything though. In fact, I would even say my feedback just now was my lesson to you already."

"Would you... Be able to get me kitchen appliances? And maybe any ingredients that I might want?"

She blinked at me, "Kitchen... Appliances? Like what?"

"Like you know... The teppan grill that is placed in the apartment that was granted to us."

"Umm... I'm sorry but... What's a teppan grill?"

Ok, maybe they go by a different name here so I understand that she might not know.

She quickly continued, "Ah! But if you're looking for things like plasma stoves, professional grade auto cookers or even photon ovens, I can definitely recommend you suppliers for that! I even have some contacts that I can call up to help you get the best price for them!"

I immediately stuck out my hand, "You got a deal!"

I was expecting her to shake it but she looked down at my hand for a moment before she lowered herself and moved to stick one of her boobs into my palm.

"What the heck?" I cried out in surprise before pulling back my hand.

"Eh? Umm... Was that not you wanting to cop a feel?"

"No? Have you not shaken a hand to seal a deal before?"

"Ah! Right! Ahahaha! Sorry!" She apologised before sticking out her own hand without bothering to cover herself first.

Is this person actually an airhead or something?

"I'm Deidre Ulgori! You can just call me Deidre or just Dei will do! Pleased to meet you, teacher!" She introduced herself.

I shook her hand, "I'm not agreeing to be your teacher. I'm only agreeing to letting you watch. We're going back to our place to eat so are you coming with us now or what?"

"Yes! Yes! I'll follow you right now!"

The waiter panicked at that, "Umm... Head chef? The lunch rush..."

"Ah... Err... Could you give me an hour, teacher?! I will be done in an hour! In the meantime... Please feel free to order anything you want! It is all on me!"

"I would much rather just order ingredients..."

"That too, teacher! Feel free to order anything you like! I will be right back!!"

She then rushed out of the room and the waiter quickly bowed to us before closing the door.

Right...

So... I didn't expect something like that to happen when I came here to eat today... But hey, I would say that was a big plus since I now could get kitchen appliances for cheap!

I turned to the girls, "Hey, it wasn't a cooking challenge so that means I win, right?"

Amber giggled, "Oh yes~ So be sure to claim your prize later, Tera~"

Right... Why does it feel like I still lost anyway?
