"Demian?" "Yes!"
Forev confirmed that she had seen Demian inside a small building on the outskirts of the city. He was encased in a cocoon that covered most of his body, leaving only his face exposed. The cocoon seemed to be made of shadows, with writhing tendrils that lashed out at anyone who dared to approach.
Without wasting a second, Broken and the others rushed to the location alongside the reinforcements. But as they arrived at the building Forev had indicated...
A massive explosion erupted!
The structure was obliterated in an instant, and from the epicenter of the blast, a figure shot into the air, moving impossibly fast. Its body was completely shrouded in shadows, concealing its identity.
Everyone immediately gave chase as the figure flew toward the western edge of the capital, heading beyond the city walls.
Broken stepped outside the city walls, and came to a halt as the shadowed figure descended slowly to the ground, its massive wings flapping in a deliberate rhythm. Alora, Ivana, and the rest of the Vensalor Guild were at his side, equally transfixed by what they were witnessing.
As the figure landed, its form became clearer. It was humanoid, but its body was wrapped in writhing shadow tendrils. A pair of curved demon horns jutted from its head, he had glowing red eyes, and behind it stretched three pairs of massive, dark wings.
And then, a name appeared before them all, floating in the air-a name that revealed not just the identity of the being they were facing, but also the sheer catastrophic threat it represented.
[Duke Focalor - Lv. 402]
[Named Demon - Ranking 34]
Duke Focalor?
Level 402?
Named Demon Ranking 34?!
Each piece of information that appeared before them was like a hammer blow, confirming the nightmarish reality of their opponent. Every detail pointed to catastrophe.
If a Named Demon ranked 36 had been powerful enough to defeat King Alorik, and two Imperial Knights, then what chance did they have against a Ranked 34 demon with a staggering Level 402?
"Good evening, valiant heroes of Dissidia Kingdom," the demon said. "How polite and honorable of you to welcome me so graciously. I know you're all dying to experience my newfound power, aren't you? Look at my name-Named Demon, Ranking 34. Level 402. Terrifying, isn't it?"
He tilted his chin upward slightly. "Am I enough to crush the will to fight out of you?"
The deep resonance of his voice was slightly different, darker, and more commanding. Yet beneath that tone, there was no denying the identity of the figure standing before them.
This was Demian.
But now, he stood in his demon form. But, had he always been a demon?
And...
What were their chances of killing a demon with a Level 402?
Everyone was already strategizing, their minds racing to find the most optimal way to use everything at their disposal against the monster standing before them.
But the question loomed large-should they wait for reinforcements, or was this the only chance to strike?
"Ah, and yeah," Focalor said, "I've been meaning to test just how far my current power has grown... What if I kill you all... one by one?"
But before he could act, Broken suddenly appeared in front of him, spear raised high for a powerful overhead strike aimed directly at the demon.
"Nice try, kiddo," Focalor muttered calmly.
In an instant, he darted to the side with blinding speed, effortlessly dodging the attack. With a swift motion, his right hand shot forward, striking Broken squarely in the chest and sending him hurtling backward with terrifying force.
The others sprang into action, launching an all-out assault from every direction.
Ivana came from behind, slamming her shield toward Focalor with all her might. But Focalor moved with impossible agility, twisting to avoid the strike. His hand shot out, grabbing her by the neck. With brutal move, he slammed her into the ground, her shield clattering beside her.
Booba charged in, letting out a fierce roar as he swung his sword in a wide arc. Focalor responded with a sharp exhale, a mere gust of air that sent Booba flying backward, crashing into rubble.
Above, Elincia began chanting, casting a spell from the safety of the sky. But before she could finish, Focalor was suddenly behind her, striking her in the back with a bone-shaking blow that sent her plummeting to the ground.
From behind, Alora surged forward with her blazing sword. Yet Focalor met her attack with an eerie calm, spinning gracefully to catch her wrist mid-strike.
"Impressive," he murmured with a sly smile, before hurling her to the ground with such force that the earth cracked beneath her impact.
curling horns.
[King Balam - Elder Hellborn Lv. 270]
[Named Demon - Ranking 51]
And it didn't stop there. From the other magic circles, three more Named Demons emerged. [Countess Murmur - Void
Feathered Seraphim Lv. 263]
[Named Demon - Ranking 54]
[Duke Alloces - Blazing Legionnaires Lv. 265]
[Named Demon - Ranking 52]
[Marquis Orias - Solarion Prideborn Lv. 262]
[Named Demon - Ranking 59]
Behind them, an entire army of demons poured forth, stretching across the horizon.
It was chaos incarnate.
What in Yunatea's name was happening?!
Broken and the others struggled to process the overwhelming scene before them. Their minds
raced, but the same question echoed relentlessly:
Is this even real? Is this actually happening?
Broken tightened his grip on his spear, his knuckles whitening as the weight of the moment
bore down on him. Around him stood Ivana, Alora, and the remaining members of the
Vensalor Guild-Elincia, Goldrich, and Booba.
"We need to summon everyone," Broken said quietly.
"Freya's already alerted everyone," Elincia replied in a hushed tone.
By everyone, they meant it—every player, every ally, every reinforcement they could possibly
call upon to join them in this battle!
This wasn't just a fight. It was shaping up to be the real endgame.
But deep down, the same chilling question lingered in their hearts:
Will they survive this Round 2 war?
