Chapter 599 599: Three Transformations, Dark Lucifer?
Chapter 599 599: Three Transformations, Dark Lucifer?
"Your form has fused light power with your original powers," Noah's voice carried approval. "You are both a Giant of Light and retain the trait of harnessing monster powers."
Rhodes tried moving his body; every action trailed brilliant streams of light. He was surprised to discover that not only could he feel the abundant light energy within, but he could also call upon any previously absorbed monster abilities at will.
"Try your power," Ultraman Noah said.
Rhodes nodded, raising his right hand. With a thought, a golden light blade extended from his arm—this was a product of combining Red King's power with light energy.
Then, his left hand condensed a blue-white energy orb, fusing cosmic phantom beast and light powers' dual traits.
"This is truly amazing!" Rhodes said in delight. "I can feel the powers enhancing each other; all forces are fused."
Rhodes raised both hands high overhead. The red crystal on his forehead flashed with light, and a crimson glow passed over Rhodes's body surface.
Rhodes's body immediately became extremely robust, with explosive muscle growth. Armor even appeared on his chest and joints, and his body turned gold-red.
This form was similar to Ultraman Tiga's power mode, maximizing the power within Rhodes!
Combining Gomora's berserk transformation, Red King's terrifying monster strength, and the cosmic phantom beast Great Buffalo's power—all concentrated to maximally enhance physical strength.
And it enhanced not just melee power; defense was also insanely high. Now, Rhodes could confidently pat his chest and take some Ultra Warriors' beams or monsters' special skills head-on with his chest.
"In this state, your power is pushed to the limit. I suggest you keep only one beam ultimate skill and allocate the rest to physical qualities. Maximize your strength," Ultraman Noah nodded at Rhodes and said.
Rhodes nodded, following Ultraman Noah's advice. For ultimates, Rhodes fused his inherited Gomora's ultra-shockwave, cosmic monster Great Buffalo's Steel Breaking Fist, and EX Red King's Flame Road.
Fusing three ultimates into one extremely powerful killing technique—this was this form's only beam skill.
"Thank you for your guidance, powerful Ultraman Noah. This state is indeed very useful. I have another form!" Rhodes raised his hands overhead again, and the diamond gem on his head began emitting light.
A silver-blue glow flashed, turning Rhodes's body silver-blue. It became as slender as the previous form, without the robust oppressive feel of the second form.
In this form, Rhodes could use Bemstar's absorption ability, various superpowers from Mefilas, various cosmic phantom beast powers, and dimensional energy from Yapool.
In this state, Rhodes gained many ultimates, able to use various superpowers in battle, like telekinesis pulling, telekinesis manipulation, instant teleportation, creating defensive barriers, and firing various beam abilities.
Even if returning to the Warhammer universe, Rhodes could connect to the Warp with his powerful soul and use some psychic powers.
"Not bad! This state's combat style is very unpredictable and versatile. If facing tricky enemies, switching to this state is the best choice," Ultraman Noah nodded approvingly at Rhodes.
"Ultraman Noah, I think these three forms are enough for now. The first is balanced, the second enhances power, and the third enhances superpowers and various beams," Rhodes said.
Transformation abilities aren't better the more there are. If Rhodes wanted, he could develop a transformation for every monster he had enhanced.
Even the Emperor's psychic power could be added as a transformation, but would that really be meaningful?
Each transformation doesn't greatly enhance him. Three forms are already enough for Rhodes to handle most enemies.
Like Ultraman Tiga and later Dyna, who conquered with three forms!
Rhodes felt his three forms were already perfect, each fusing the most excellent powers from the monster abilities he mastered.
"You can try one more thing: integrate all your powers, attempting to fuse them all into your body without needing transformations!
Then you can use all your abilities and perfectly unleash them at 100%. For example, that beam ultimate from the red form—if fused with your superpowers, its power would be even stronger," Noah said.
Fancy transformation skills are just states developed due to insufficient ability. If your ability is strong enough, you can always maintain the ultimate form.
"Thank you for your guidance, Ultraman Noah," Rhodes nodded and said.
Noah's phantom nodded slightly: "Light power does not reject other just powers. Remember, this power exists for protection.
I must leave now. In the remaining time, I hope you, as visitors, can enjoy this universe."
As guests, Ultraman Noah would entertain beings from other universes, but if they were enemies, Ultraman Noah would let them know the power of light.
Rhodes nodded to Ultraman Noah, who turned into a beam of light and completely vanished before Rhodes.
"This is unbelievable. Rhodes, this giant is really powerful. I even doubt if the Dark King, once born, would be his match," Isha walked over and said.
Isn't that right? Only by truly facing Ultraman Noah could one know how strong he was. Just a strand of light, a sliver of a clone's power, could achieve such things.
Even in the end, without their help, Ultraman Noah could handle Nurgle; it would just take a bit more effort!
Though Nurgle was powerful, he was far from Ultraman Noah's opponent. If Rhodes and Isha hadn't appeared, at most, Kazuki Komon's life would have been sacrificed.
"This time, we've struck it rich, Isha. I've finally integrated my own powers; I'm no longer that half-baked version who could use multiple abilities but couldn't fully integrate them," Rhodes said, clenching his fist.
Before, he had giantization ability, initially from Mefilas' superpowers, later from cosmic phantom beast powers. But now, whenever Rhodes wanted, he could instantly become a Giant of Light form for battle.
"So what do you plan to do next? We can stay in this universe for another two and a half days," Isha asked.
Rhodes stroked his chin in thought. Honestly, after coming to this new world, his initial goals seemed all accomplished.
First, killing Nurgle and successfully obtaining a massive amount of system coins, plus the most precious system crystals!
Enough for another 100-draw, or even fully upgrading the enhancement shop, boosting all his top monsters' combat power to the limit.
Then, obtaining this world's true specialty: Ultraman power. And Rhodes's Ultraman power came from the universe's first ray of light, Ultraman Noah, with true multiversal-level combat power.
It could be said he reaped abundant rewards. With only two and a half days of action time, what to do in that timeframe?
"How about I take you for a stroll on this Earth?" Rhodes said.
"Forget it! This planet's civilization level is extremely low; it hasn't even reached the initial spacefaring stage, and industrial pollution is severe. How can it compare to the beauty of the Cosmic Beast planet?" Isha said.
This Earth was better than humanity's homeworld Terra, but it couldn't compare at all to their Aeldari maiden worlds or the Cosmic Beast planet she now lived on.
So for now, Rhodes really had nothing to do. How about taking Isha around this universe for a tour!
With only two and a half days, they couldn't go too far. Though both were Giants of Light with very fast cosmic travel speed, this universe really had nothing worth grabbing!
This universe had no Land of Light, the Earth had no super ancient civilization, and no inheritance of light or such.
"Master, this world still has some valuable things. I can sense a very primal dark existence in this world," just as Rhodes planned to take Isha for a tour and return to the Warhammer universe, Belial spoke.
"That's right, master. I also sense an extremely massive evil power in this universe, very dark and ancient," Daram appeared beside Rhodes and said.
As a former dark giant, Daram had a very keen sense for dark powers. He could feel this planet harbored an even stronger and more terrifying darkness.
"Terrifying darkness? How is that possible? This planet should have no more dangers," Rhodes said in surprise.
The Nexus world's final boss should be Dark Zagi, but this Dark Zagi wasn't the universe's first darkness; it was split from Galaxy Ultraman!
It was a monster created by a highly advanced civilization imitating Ultraman Noah.
"We can't be wrong, master. This terrifying monster lives on this planet; it's right here," Daram said.
"The opponent should also be a dark giant, but with power stronger than the dark giant destroyed in space earlier," Belial said.
"They're right, master. I can also sense an incredibly terrifying dark power," Tartarus appeared beside Rhodes and said.
Rhodes frowned upon hearing this, suddenly seeming to recall something. Nexus was actually a canceled series.
Because its final boss in the setting wasn't actually Dark Zagi; Dark Zagi was just a mid-series boss. The true boss was Dark Lucifer.
This boss was a conceptual design that never appeared in the plot, only debuting in later novels, set three years after Ultraman Noah defeated Dark Zagi.
Possessing extremely terrifying dark power, he was finally faced by Kazuki Komon and Saijo transforming together into Ultraman Noah.
But the outcome of that battle was unknown. According to the setting, he was the fourth dark giant to appear after Dark Faust, Dark Mephisto, and Dark Zagi!
He was the root cause of all events in the Ultraman Nexus incident, the only villain dark giant in the Ultra series to debut in a novel, named after Lucifer the devil Satan from Dante's Divine Comedy.
His combat power is unknown, but his strength is benchmarked against Ultraman Noah. Later in Galaxy Ultraman, it's said that part of Dark Lugiel's design adopted the scrapped N Project from Ultraman Nexus's final boss, Dark Lucifer.
Some even joke that Dark Lucifer ultimately appeared as Dark Lugiel!
"Interesting. The darkness you speak of—I think I've guessed who it is. This universe's final Boss, the fallen angel Dark Lucifer," Rhodes said.
"Master, if we can defeat this guy and absorb his dark power, then Belial and I will enhance our powers again. Even you can absorb part of his power.
The truth form born from fusing light and dark is the strongest power," Daram said.
In a way, he was actually the final experimental product of his master's light-dark fusion.
Back then, the reason his master had him fuse with Horus wasn't without cause.
His master wanted to use Horus's power, the Emperor's hope power, to create a Giant of Light, then have him fuse the original darkness to birth a light-dark fused truth form.
