When everything was finished, Lili ran behind me and hid. "Thank you for this. I thought you'd make things harder, but you kept your word," I said with a smile. Then, I extended my hand to him.
Soma took my hand and shook it.
"You'd better take good care of her."
I didn't expect to hear that from Soma, especially in front of Lili. She was visibly surprised when she heard his words. "Alright, we'll be going now. I hope you manage to reorganize your Familia."
"..."
I took Lili's hand and left the room.
Soma followed us out and watched as we walked away. I could feel his gaze on my back—a piercing stare. I turned around, and our eyes met for a split second.
A shiver ran down my spine.
"Is everything okay? You seem tense."
"It's nothing."

We left the Soma Familia's house and headed to the mansion. Hestia was in the living room. "Where were you two? You left without telling me; I was worried!"
"We were at Soma Familia's house."
"What!?" Hestia exclaimed, startled.
"Don't worry, Goddess, nothing happened. As you know, I used to be a member of Soma Familia, but I'm no longer part of it."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I convinced Lord Soma to remove her falna. I want her to be part of our Familia from now on," I said to Hestia. Her eyes widened, and her jaw dropped in disbelief.
"What's wrong? Don't you like the idea?" Lili asked.
"I'm not shocked that you're joining my Familia; I'm shocked you managed to convince Soma. How is that even possible...?"
"How can I put this? I guess I'm just a charming guy."
"Things don't work like that! Especially not with Soma!"
"It's fine. You're overthinking it. The important thing is that it worked." I smiled and placed my hand on Hestia's shoulder. "Now, do your job. Give Lili her falna."
"Ah, right. Alright. Come with me, Lili. I'll do it in the bedroom."
"Hurry, Aisha. Bring him to me."
I started biting my nails as I waited anxiously.

When I left the Goddess's room, I felt my heart would burst. I stopped walking and pressed my hand to my chest. "Damn it, I really have to do this?" After so much time without seeing him...
I have almost started to forget him, and now the Goddess is forcing me to face him again.
"I don't want to do this... But there's no one else I can ask to take my place."
I let out a long sigh and quickened my pace to leave the Familia's house.
Once I was outside and reached the entertainment district, I decided to stop for a drink before continuing. I needed to calm down. It was still early, so the bars were practically empty.
"It's been a while since you've been here. What's going on?" the bar owner asked.
"I've been feeling down these past few days. The Goddess is giving me a headache."
"What's going on with her?"
"The goddess is completely obsessed with a man."
"What!? That Goddess is obsessed with a man? Who is this guy who's captured her cold heart?"
"I'd say it's his body that's captured her, not him."
"Now I'm even more curious! Tell me everything!"
"I'd rather not. I don't feel like talking about him."
"Hmmm..." She stared at me for a few seconds. "Do you like him too or something?"
"Pfft!" Her question made me spit out my drink.
"Hey! Are you crazy!?"
"What kind of question is that!? I don't like him or anything!"
"You just made it even clearer that you do. Hahaha." She laughed as she wiped the drink off her face. "You'd better give up. If you take the man the Goddess wants, you'll have a lot of problems."
