"What do you want?" Bai Meiyue asked while baring her teeth at the man.
Seeing the bloodied dagger in Bai Meiyue’s hand, Manager Ni swallowed hard. He backed away in fear; even though he was filled with anger at the arrogance of this woman for changing the lock of the door without telling him or giving him the key, he didn’t dare to offend Bai Meiyue.
He looked at Bai Meiyue and then nervously said, "Miss Bai, we need your help. Can you take Brother Feng to the hospital? His wound has inflamed and we need to take him to the hospital."
"Which hospital?" Bai Meiyue asked and when the man didn’t respond, she curled her lips in a sneer. "Don’t tell me that you want me to go to every hospital and find a doctor for him? Have you not seen what’s going on outside? You want me to deal with those things and take the risk just because you want to act like a messiah? Who are you to order me around like this?"
Of course, Manager Ni knew what was going on outside. This was why he dared not to leave the building; however, the Fang family was not easy to deal with either. They caused trouble at his door every day and he had no other choice but to bring them here.
Bai Meiyue returned safely after going outside in the morning; thus, compared to him, she was much more skilled. This was why Manager Ni came here, thinking that as long as Bai Meiyue agreed, he would be able to raise his prestige in the eyes of these people.
"I am the manager of the building—"
Before he could finish speaking, Bai Meiyue caught hold of his collar and pulled him close. She snarled, "That’s right, you are the manager of the building and you are only in charge of keeping the building in proper condition and taking rent from those who have rented the apartment. I bought mine, so your authority doesn’t work on me."
"If there is someone who needs to be pleased, its me. Don’t try to act like a monster in front of me."
She threw the man back and Manager Ni stumbled twice. If not for the crowd supporting him from behind, he would have rolled down the stairs with how ruthless Bai Meiyue was.
"You, what are you doing?" Manager Ni asked with a shocked look on his face.
"What do you think?"Bai Meiyue asked without shying away from the glare that was aimed at her. "I don’t care how used you are to showing off your authority but it will not work on me."
"You—"
Before Manager Ni could finish speaking, he was pushed to one side by Fang Qing.
One of the sturdy women beat Fang Qing until the woman’s face swelled to the point that Bai Meiyue was sure that even Mother Fang wouldn’t be able to recognise her daughter.
"AHH! Let me go!"
"Bai Zhan, you bastard. Your wife is being beaten and you are watching the show?"
"You bastard!"
"Save me!"
"AH! Don’t hit my face."
No matter how hard Fang Qing shouted, no one paid attention to her. Instead, they started hitting her even harder. The more this woman screamed, the more their reward would be delayed.
Soon Fang Qing could no longer scream and the woman who was beating her stood up in front of the crowd.
"Miss, I hit her the most!"
"I also beat her up. Look, I knocked out a tooth."
"Get away; I was the one who punched her the most."
Bai Meiyue curled her lips and threw out the packages in the air. "Deal with them as you like."
She also added a little reward to the ones who kicked Fang Qing.
Everyone rushed to get hold of the packages, completely forgetting Fang Qing, resembling ferocious dogs who would tear anyone into half if they came in their path.
