when they arrived by otto's quarters, the guards let them inside, where they were met with a stern expression from otto and his two guests.

they awkwardly stood still, feeling like they were mannequins in a shop window.

"hmm..." the large man said. "my name's luther. i am the fight organizer for the fighting pit. i might have a fight for you two."

luther then approached the two young men and retrieved a round-shaped monocle from his breast pocket and held it up to his eye to get a closer look at them.

after they left, otto stopped smiling and said, "you better not fuck this up. if you win your fight and make a good impression on the crowd, you will have a bright future ahead!"
