Chapter 125: Kyle Makes His Move.
Chapter 125: Kyle Makes His Move.
There was nothing that could be done because Kyle was scheduled to be released the next day, but all the visitors had already come through. He recalled everything that happened that day, and his weakness made him sick. It was something he knew he couldn't live with.
He felt disgusted that he was at the mercy of another person when that shouldn't be the case. Kyle was going to get his revenge, and to do that, he needed Mike to remain untouched. He was angry and knew that things would be different this time if they met.
Kyle wasn't willing—or rather, couldn't—take a life, even if he wanted to.
Jones and Calista had left the hospital, leaving Kyle alone to collect himself. The doctor came in and asked if Kyle needed anything else. One of the perks here was better meals.
"You know, I might have lied to everyone," Kyle blurted out, surprising the doctor.
"Pardon?" The doctor responded, but Kyle only smiled.
"Don't worry about it. Can I be discharged early?" Kyle asked, but the doctor was skeptical.
On paper, Kyle was fine and could be discharged today. But an extra day was just to be cautious. So, if the doctor did decide to discharge him early, he wouldn't be breaking any rules. Kyle had already established from their earlier conversation that the doctor could be swayed by money.
And that's exactly what Kyle was going to use. The doctor accepted without hesitation.
Kyle signed his release form, and he was out of there that night. He had something to do and couldn't risk dragging anyone else into it.
None of that mattered now. Mike had crossed a line, and he was about to find out how far Kyle was willing to go to correct that.

Kyle checked into an expensive hotel and walked to his room. But Kyle had also bought a low-end laptop from a random person he met in a café, spending approximately $1,500, an absurd amount but he planned to get rid of it the moment he was done. This was because he wanted to access things he didn't want tied back to him, even though the person who sold him the laptop had already formatted it.
Kyle had heard about the dark web before but never thought he would need to access it.
"Fight fire with fire..." Kyle muttered to himself with a sinister grin.
