Chapter 458 A Different Kind of Fight

Damon sat back on the small hotel sofa, adjusting his jacket as he scrolled through his phone, occasionally glancing at the time. Continue your saga on My Virtual Library Empire

He wasn't in a rush, but waiting had never been his strong suit. He tilted his head back, letting out a breath, before calling out toward the bathroom.

"You good in there?"

No immediate response. He chuckled, shaking his head. He had no doubt she was taking her time, and he wasn't about to rush her.

A few moments later, Svetlana stepped out of the bathroom, and for a second, Damon forgot whatever was on his mind.

She looked incredible.

Those tight jeans that flared just slightly at the end, hugging her hips perfectly. A cropped top that wasn't overly revealing but still showed just enough to catch his attention.

The way her long hair flowed, styled but still effortless, only added to the entire look. Her makeup was subtle, enhancing what was already perfect.

Damon leaned back against the couch, smirking as he took in the sight before letting out a low whistle.

"Damn."

Svetlana rolled her eyes, but he caught the small smile she tried to hide. "What?"

"You already know," he said, shaking his head. "You're just showing off at this point."

She grabbed her purse from the table, not even denying it. "Maybe I am."

Damon stood up, adjusting his jacket before sliding his sunglasses over his eyes. "If this was a contest, I'd have already lost."

Svetlana laughed, shaking her head. "You're ridiculous."

"Yeah, but you love it."

She gave him a playful shove before taking his arm, leading the way out of the hotel.

Damon pulled her back into a tight embrace, their bodies pressed together with no space between them.

His arms wrapped securely around her waist, keeping her close as her head rested against his chest.

He could feel her warmth, her steady breath against him, the faint scent of her perfume teasing his senses.

"We don't need to leave," he murmured, his voice low, almost persuasive. His fingers traced slow circles against the small of her back, his grip firm yet gentle.

Svetlana scoffed, shaking her head slightly but making no effort to pull away. "You promised," she reminded him, her voice muffled against his shirt. Then, as if sensing his resolve waver, she added, "By the way, you'll have plenty of time for this when we get back."

Damon sighed but obliged, pulling her in as she took a few selfies. She turned the camera towards him after. "Now one of just you."

Damon crossed his arms, giving her a deadpan look. "Why?"

She grinned. "Because your fans will love it. And I want one, too."

He chuckled but played along, standing in front of the palace with a lazy smirk, adjusting his cap slightly before she snapped the photo.

Satisfied, she put her phone away and looped her arm through his. "Alright, Hyde Park next."

They took their time walking through the park, the greenery offering a peaceful contrast to the fast-paced streets of London.

The sound of birds chirping, the occasional street musician playing a soft tune, and couples strolling hand in hand made for a relaxing atmosphere.

Damon glanced at Svetlana as she admired the view. "You like this kind of thing, huh?"

She turned to him with a small smile. "Yeah. I like the quiet moments."

Damon hummed, nodding. "I get that."

They found a quiet bench, sitting for a moment as they watched the world go by. Damon stretched his legs out, exhaling. "You know, I don't really do stuff like this much."

Svetlana leaned her head against his shoulder. "That's why I wanted to do it with you."

Damon smirked. "You're being real romantic today."

She scoffed. "Shut up."

He chuckled but let the moment settle, appreciating the rare peace before the chaos of training and fighting resumed.

As the sun began to set, they finally made their way to the rooftop restaurant Svetlana had talked about.

It was perched atop one of London's tallest buildings, giving them an uninterrupted view of the skyline.

The lights of the city twinkled below as the atmosphere buzzed with quiet chatter and soft music.

Damon sat back, sipping on a drink while watching Svetlana admire the view. She looked genuinely happy, and for a moment, he felt something stir, something he wasn't sure how to put into words.

"This was a good idea," he admitted.

She looked at him, resting her chin on her hand. "Yeah?"

He nodded. "Yeah."
