After his parents died, Alex Roth had a plan: become a wizard. Through hard work, he was accepted into the world’s greatest university of wizardry—but fate had another plan.On his eighteenth, he is marked as one of his kingdom’s five Heroes, chosen to fight the land’s great enemy. But his brand is 'The Fool', worst of the marks.Rather than die or serve the other Heroes like Fools in the past, he packs up his little sister, his childhood friend and her cerberus, then flees for the university in hope of refuge, magic and to unravel the truth about his land’s evil. There’s one small problem: The Mark tries to ruin magic while enhancing skills outside of divinity, combat and spellcraft.……that is, unless he can learn to exploit the hell out of it.*****This the first time I am writing a web novel type story, and I hope you like it. I like progression stories and I've always wanted to try and write one like a few of the web novels that inspired me.Updates Tues-Wed-Thur-Fri-Sat.There are currently 20 advanced chapters on my patreon as a thank you to patrons.Join us on discord! https://discord.gg/A4M3CzfWBnChapters will be roughly 2000-2500 words.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]***Rating: This story is kind of like a PG-13 movie. There'll be gore and some swearing but not much beyond that. If that changes, I'll warn you. Tone: Tone will be a mix of some action-adventure with excitement, comedy, slice of life elements and mystery. I won't be going too dark with this story. There will be mentions of war, some death, grief and violence.MC: MC is analytical/rational with emotions. He is mostly in control of those emotions. MC will progress in power, eventually becoming very strong. When that happens, I'll add the Strong Lead tag.Fights: Fights will be detailed.***Stuff this story won't have:- Extreme grimdark content- Murderhobo plots- Edgy, anti-hero MC - Pacifist MC- Harems Collapse
Male Protagonist, Weak to Strong, Academy, Strategist, Age Progression, Magic, Game Elements, LitRPG
It's not bad, but it's not good either, it's average at best. It's a 5/10
praise mr fool!!
Guess he's expanding on the Sefirah domain, praise Mr. Fool indeed
hes expanding his influence to other novels
Rank: C-
Novel is so so, nothing to brag about. I had to ignore some of MC's decision making and constant plot armor to even continue reading. His university life is pretty boring, so if you skipped a couple chapters here and there you wouldn't really be missing anything. There's a few things I have a beef with. MC should never have brought his 10yr old sister with him. Leaving her with the Lu family is the most reasonable and safer route. MC has been in a lot of life and death situations but when he gets interrogated by authorities his cool and calm attitude is gone, and reverts back to your average wimpy 19yr old. The only good trait about MC is he puts in the work.
As of chapter 330The characters are well done, story is great but a slow burn for major stuff which isn't bad, romance is believable and the mc is realistic. The MCs blessing has upsides but its downsides are near crippling and he has to find ways around it to be able to fight at all.SpoilerMC seems to have an advantage with summoning magic for reasons not yet divulged, only thing I found grating but hopefully they have decent reasoning behind it.
can we get a solid review here up to 300+ chaps?
It's pretty decent, a cut above average western novels and is definitely a cut above the average cn web novel (to anyone with an opinion, before you express it, remember that there is simply MORE cn web novels both in title and in length and I hope you understand how average works)
Noice
this is some grade A shit
does that mean good or bad ?
Good oof lol
Is it me or the tag 'game elements' is wrongly included in the novel tags? I haven't seen status screen or something similar to it in the novel.

Im in ch 19 as of now i like this one. Im tires of the ones where the mc does everything effortlessly like a mary sue. The mc here does fail a bit, is scared when facing monsters . The world building is nice. this is a 4/5 for mebe reading on ahead. lets see how it goes.
