Chapter 355 Iluna and the Elixir of Immortality

Turning their heads towards the window, they indeed saw Iluna, whom they hadn't seen for more than a week, at the end of the crowd.

All the members of her Circle Sorcerer squad had come to the station to pick her up; the gentlemen carried luggage while the brown-haired girl chatted and laughed with the lady beside her, who had purple lips.

"She's back."

Having not seen her for over a week, Iluna didn't look much different except for the fatigue brought by the journey.

Shard and Luviya sat in the restaurant without moving and waited for a full twenty minutes before they saw Iluna hurrying over along the sidewalk.

The two also left the restaurant to meet her:

"Oh, I'm back!"

After all, she was only seventeen. Although she had experienced many things, she still looked immature.

Right there on the sidewalk, Iluna first gave Luviya a very enthusiastic hug and then turned to Shard with a bright smile:

"Good morning, Shard. How have you been recently?"

The smile on her face was brighter than the foggy morning.

Shard really wanted to say he had been quite leisurely, earning a lot and not having much to do. But whether it was the exam week from a week ago or the recent mermaid at Coldwater Port, he couldn't bring himself to say such things.

"Have you encountered anything during my absence?"

The young girl asked with a knowing smile:

"Things will always be waiting for us, but we can solve them together. Shard, Luviya, now that I'm back, leave everything to me!"@@@@

Iluna seemed quite confident, though it was unclear what she had encountered at the Papacy:

"I've gained more information and secrets from my role as The Chosen One, some of which I haven't even told the Papacy. But I don't have time today, I need to go to the church to report back and handle some delayed work. How about we meet tomorrow?"

"No problem,"

This was the most reasonable and least suspicious answer. Of course, Shard did not forget to add:

"...It wasn't me who wanted to gamble; the other party insisted on betting their Magic Potion against my Special Card. He only knew that it had something to do with the Elixir of Immortality..."

After placing the keys from his pocket into the cookie jar on the shoe cabinet, Shard bent down to pick up the cat that had run downstairs, then gestured for the Priest to follow him upstairs:

"Priest, is there a problem with that bottle of Magic Potion?"

Because the Spirit Talisman [Greed] and those ten coins were too important, Shard hadn't paid much attention to the Magic Potion. Now, seeing the Priest's demeanor, he realized the potion that the captain had taken out of his stomach during the second round of gambling was no ordinary item either.

Actually, upon closer thought, if it were something mundane, it wouldn't have been preserved within his own body.

"This is the Magic Potion—Mermaid's Elixir of Youth!"

At the top of the stairs, the Priest whispered, his eyes widened as he looked at Shard. However, there was no one else in the house, making the hushed tones entirely unnecessary.

"I know it's the Elixir of Immortality."

Shard nodded his head:

"Isn't that what I told you it was called?"

"Oh, Shard, your first-year course 'Basic Potionology' didn't cover this, but this is the real Elixir of Immortality. No one in the Sixth Era could make this stuff, and even during the Fifth Era, only the most powerful Witches could obtain such a potion from the Exotic Mermaids as a Tribute. In other words, only individuals of the Witch Empress's caliber could use such a precious potion."

Shard slightly turned to look at the Old Cleric, who shook the Magic Potion in his hand, the purple liquid swirling slightly within:

"This is a true master-level potion; not even a Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer could make it. And do you know what the most precious aspect of this potion is?"

Priest Augustus asked, and Shard hesitated for a moment, holding the cat, before answering:

"It... hasn't expired?"

"Yes! This Magic Potion has not expired! Oh, Mr. Dawn, this is a miracle! Could it be that someone in the Sixth Era still possesses the ability to concoct this potion? Or was the potion preserved using a special method?"

The Priest grew more excited as he spoke, and by now they had reached the second floor. Pushing the door open, Shard let the cat down and prepared to hang up his coat:

"Priest, then is it possible to use this bottle of Magic Potion to rediscover the lost art of potion making?"
