"Ah..." Tsume comes to a stop as her nose twitches for a moment in front of a training ground. The team behind her, too, stops and peer past her by tilting their bodies sideways to see a group of girls lying on the ground with exhausted expressions but anyone with sharper eyesight would notice the satisfaction in their exhausted smiles, too. Sitting on a chair made out of solidified dirt and soil, a youth looks proud of his handiwork. He soon turns to face the group standing near the entrance of the ground and waves at them.
"Hey, Tsume, come over," Kai waves to his former teammate and self-proclaimed beta and calls her over as she and Kuromaru skip forward with her team. Like Kai, Tsume and Minato had gained a team of their own. Tsume came to teach a group of two guys and a girl, one of the boys being an Uchiha. And the other one is a youth in a green sleeveless jumpsuit with an orange scarf around his neck.
Kai knew both of them. Yahiko does not only complain about Kakashi but also his self-appointed rivals Obito Uchiha, and Might Guy. The girl, however, Kai did not know about aside from Kurenai's exhausted ramblings at times.
It's already been three weeks since the start of the new year and despite the chilly winter, his team has been making steady progress. This month is all about laying a foundation so instead after the second week, Kai, or rather, his clone, started to accept 2 D-Rank Missions every day. It's already their third day doing this routine.
Compared to Team Kai, officially known as Team 6, Team Tsume, otherwise known as Team 9, has started to train and progress more toward ideal shinobi practices. But seeing the exhausted trio barely sitting up and wearing their thicker clothes to protect from the cold, Tsume turns to look at her team and frowns for a moment. "Alpha, I have decided! I'm gonna use my team to weed out as many D-Rank missions as possible!"
While the other two pale, the one with thick glossy black hair and even thicker brows suddenly grins, "Yes! If I can't complete 2 D-Ranked missions in a day then I will run around the village 50 times!"
Kai looks at this shining star of the new generation already on the grindset far beyond his age and nods, "Your team ain't bad, Tsume. Teach them how you think it's appropriate."
"Sensei, why did you bring us here?" Finally, someone that could be considered the most flamboyant out of the individuals, even when Kai and a rather stunningly overdressed Kurenai are present, speaks up. He's got a head full of spiky, unkempt short black hair, and wears a pair of orange-tinted goggles similar to windshield strapped around his head alongside a pair of blue jacket, trousers, and a white shirt.

Kuromaru smells Kai's wrist but then whines and returns to Tsume's side with a disappointed whine.
"A clone? Alpha, you're busy with something important?" Tsume raises an eyebrow. After all, Cinnamon is always attached to the real Kai.
"A clone?" Yuhi blurts out in surprise.
"Sensei, you still haven't told me why you brought us here," Obito huffs.
"Let's do D-Ranked missions! Should we chase Tora again?" Guy laughs with a wide grin.
"Uh, just what is going on?" The only girl beside Tsume in team 9 questions as her tattooed cheeks puff up slightly and her brown eyes flicker with confusion. Her tattoos aren't similar to Tsume's red fang marks as they are two purple rectangular strips diagonally covering half a cheek each.
"Leave them to me," Kai shrugs, "Original wanted to ask you something. He's waiting for you in the pad."
Tsume grows thoughtful and she nods, 'Maybe it's my turn finally...'
"Ehm..." Tsume's cheeks flush with excitement unconsciously and she adds, "I should let Kuromaru stay here, right?"
"What, no," this time the clone shakes his head, "He's an important reason why the original is calling for you."
Tsume's eyes widen and her beast-like vertical pupils shrink!
'Does... Alpha wants to show dominance by...' She doesn't think anymore and looks at Kuromaru. But she still leaves with a heavy heart. She's his beta. She can't deny his commands now, can she? Maybe Kuromaru will just love it, she wonders quietly.
With Tsume leaving, Kai looks at Yuhi and sighs, "A clone has been training you for over a week. It was a test. You didn't manage to find that at all. The original was with you for the first week entirely but you did not observe him well enough. In fact, I've been laying some clues for a while but you three still didn't observe. Tsume noticed one such clue instantly and found the truth. That's the difference in experience."
Seeing his disappointed visage, all the satisfaction in the trio's hearts for completing two missions barely fades away quickly and they lower their heads, pondering the situation.
"Tch, you're just lazy," Obito has his arms behind his head, "Many Jonins like to take a break and let their clones do their work for them. Some genius you are... Unlike you, when I become the Hokage, I will work hard!"
"Did I ask?" Kai looks at the boy strangely when Konan gasps, "I got it! Whenever you brought us to missions... you did not chat with those who issued the mission!"

Rin's expression brightens and she feels exhilarated. These kinds of chances are hard to come by!

"So... you don't want to pound Kuromaru to submission and then make me kneel and clean you up...?"
Kai and Orochimaru still look dumbstruck by the equally confused spiky brown-haired girl.
*Roufff*
Kuromaru barks again, uncaringly licking Kai's hand and trying to reach Cinnamon to demonstrate his brotherly love.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" Kai, honestly, is appalled. From Hiruzen questioning his choices by implying that he may attract little girls to Tsume now questioning the very foundations of his sexual integrity, Kai wonders where did everything go wrong about his reputation.
Tsume, however, snickers lightheartedly and shrugs, "Well, that's fine then. So? Why is she here?"
Tsume zeroes in on the source of the ominous 'stench' that even keeps the Inuzuka girl on her toes. Orochimaru's sincere and gentle smirks widen but Tsume doesn't lose her cautiousness one bit.
After all, the stench is evident.
The stench of arousal.
'This bitch is a competition!' thinks the actual bitch.
