The next day, as Zhouzhou opened her eyes, she was startled to see two panda eyes staring back at her.
With a quick start, she rolled to the side and sat up abruptly, relieved only upon seeing the familiar faces before her.
In a childish voice, she asked, "What's up?"
Her sudden movement had startled her.
Ye Lingfeng, having spent the night awake, kept his gaze fixed on Zhouzhou. In a hoarse voice, he asked, "Zhouzhou, do you remember what you called me last night?"
He unconsciously held his breath.
The last time he felt this nervous was when he proposed to Yaya.
An Ya, too, leaned in anxiously, her eyes fixed on Zhouzhou.
Last night, after Zhouzhou murmured "dad" and fell asleep, Ye Lingfeng had intended to wake her and clear things up.
However, seeing her sleeping so peacefully, he couldn't bring himself to disturb her. He didn't want to sleep either, fearing it might all seem like a dream in the morning.

Zhouzhou pouted, feeling a bit embarrassed, "I've already called you daddy enough!"
Ye Lingfeng: "..." He shouldn't have said that.
Oh well, if being mouthy was what it took to call him "Daddy," then so be it. At least it was confirmed that she was calling him.
An Ya chuckled and winked at Ye Lingfeng, encouraging him to tease their little girl some more.
Ye Lingfeng wiped his face, already regretting it.
With a light laugh, he returned to the bedside, still holding Zhouzhou, and helped her put on her shoes. His movements were gentle and meticulous.
Zhouzhou glanced at him, feeling warm inside. Unable to resist, she hugged his face and planted a kiss, "Daddy."
That one word almost brought tears of joy to Ye Lingfeng's eyes.
He scooped up Zhouzhou, "Let's go. Daddy is happy today. Whatever you want to do, we'll do it together."
He softened his expression, "Hmm."
"Daddy, we're going to the amusement park today. We forgot to tell you earlier. I'll come see you tonight."
The traffic light turned red, and the car stopped.
Ye Lingfeng turned slightly, looking at Zhouzhou. An Ya thought he might take this opportunity to make Zhouzhou call him daddy again, asserting his dominance.
Unexpectedly, when the green light came on and the car started moving again, he remained silent.
An Ya smiled at him, finally feeling relieved.
Qin Lie was Zhouzhou's first daddy, that was an undeniable fact. He had been there for her during the toughest times.
Zhouzhou would never abandon Qin Lie, even with them around. So she hoped Ye Lingfeng could accept this reality.
Before, she feared he might be too overbearing, insisting on being Zhouzhou's only daddy. But now, it seemed he had always been aware of the situation and had made compromises and concessions.
Sensing her gaze, Ye Lingfeng looked over and smiled at her, knowing her concerns.
Of course, he wanted to be the only one to dote on Zhouzhou, but since his little girl wasn't willing, if he pushed too hard, she might retract her new address for Qin Lie.

Zhouzhou swung her short legs, "We're in the car, Uncle. We're going to the amusement park. Do you want to come?"
"Okay." On the other end, Xi Mo nodded, "I'll be there soon."
Excitedly, Zhouzhou gave him the address and said, "Then I'll wait for you!"
"Okay."
After hanging up, Xi Mo quickly wrapped up his wound, staining several pieces of gauze with blood. He remained unfazed.
Xiyàn looked at him, feeling the pain just from watching. Hearing that he still intended to go out, she couldn't help but say, "Big brother, take care of your injury and go play with Zhouzhou later."
Xi Mo didn't speak. He silently put on his clothes, making sure to cover the wound. Then he spoke, "There's no time."
He looked out the window. The sunlight was glaring, so he raised his hand to shield his eyes and wipe away the moisture. After a moment, he said, "This time, it's not for Zhouzhou. It's for Yaya."
