Just then, the door of the Ethwer carriage opened, and stepping out were Duke Ethwer, Duchess Ethwer, and Julia.
As soon as they stepped out, the entire hall fell into silence. Eyes followed their every step, but they showed no emotion and moved forward with composed expressions. @@@@
Duke Norish, who was still standing nearby, let out a chuckle and walked towards Ethwer.
He smiled as he spoke just loud enough for Ethwer to hear. "You attacked Easvil, didn't you?" Duke Ethwer's face remained unchanged. "What are you talking about?" Norish laughed, his earlier discomfort melting away as he found satisfaction in seeing someone in an even worse position than himself.
With a smirk, he leaned in slightly and whispered, "Don't worry. Julian will strip you naked too." With no further words, Norish walked inside the hall. He waved to the gathered nobles before making his way to the throne on the grand stage.
He sat down with a satisfied expression, watching as the Ethwer family proceeded inside.
Julia, meanwhile, was filled with happiness as she glanced around. Without hesitation, she ran towards Isabel and wrapped her arms around her. "Isabel! How are you?" she said. Isabel was momentarily shocked before a wide smile spread across her face.
"Julia! Where have you been? And why haven't you replied to my messages?" Julia grinned and raised her hand, forming a small tear made of light element. "I was practicing my spells." Isabel's eyes widened in shock as she felt Julia's mana. "Oiii, Julia! Have you reached the Supreme Realm?!"
Julia's grin only grew wider. "Yes, I did!"
Isabel grabbed her arms in surprise. "How did you do that?! So fast! You are already at the Supreme Realm?"
Julia chuckled proudly. "Yep. It's all about understanding my element better. I focused on it, felt its flow, and over time, I became more familiar with it."
Isabel was taken aback, still trying to process Julia's rapid progress.
"But how exactly did you do it? I have never heard of anyone advancing that quickly aside from Julian."
Julia smiled softly. "I can explain it all later, Isabel. I have had a lot of time to practice and reflect. But for now... I am still a little stunned that Julian's already a duke."
As the words left his mouth, the entire assembly stood, but their heads were still bowed slightly.
The king nodded in acknowledgment before continuing, "We are here on this special occasion to witness the rise of the new Duke of Easvil. It is my honor to welcome all of you to this momentous event."
In unison, the crowd bowed deeply, "It is our pleasure, Your Majesty."
With a wave of his hand, the king signaled for everyone to take their seats. As the crowd settled into their seats, whispers and murmurs began to flow once again.
However, despite the gathering of the nobility and the presence of the royal family, the main man, Julian himself, was absent.
The guests exchanged curious glances, eager for the main event to begin, yet the one person they had all gathered to see had yet to make his entrance.
The tension in the air grew as they wondered what might be keeping the new duke from appearing.
Meanwhile, Julian stood before the mirror, admiring his reflection with a smile.
He was wearing a suit adorned with different jewels and badges, but there was one badge that seemed missing.
He ran his fingers over the empty space on his chest, and his smile deepened.
"I really am handsome, aren't I, Father?"
A sound of chuckling came from behind him. Alden, who was leaning casually against the wall, smiled proudly.
"Of course you are, my son. What else could you expect from my genes?"
Julian turned towards Alden. "So, what's your plan now?"
Alden's gaze drifted to the window, his eyes distant. He exhaled softly, thinking for a moment before replying.
"I want to travel around the world."
