Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 305 - 304: The Burial expanse

Chapter 305 - 304: The Burial expanse

For a moment, Void was stunned, his eyes fluttering as blood flowed down from his cracked head.Bam!

The angel didn't give Void a second to think as a kick smashed into the side of Void's head.

Void swayed left, struggling to compose himself, but he was still too slow.

Bang!

A punch to his face sent Void flying at a speed surpassing space-time itself.

The quasi Rank 4 angel smiled when he saw this.

You must know, he was a veteran. Apart from his original Origin of Decay,

he possessed another Origin: the Origin of Light, the fundamental Origin of all angels.

There was no way this demon would win… right?

"You were saying something?" the angel scoffed as he looked at Void who had already regenerated all his wounds.

He was as good as new.

"Not bad… truly, you are a veteran," Void muttered as he moved.

He appeared directly behind the angel, stretching out his sharp claws toward the angel's back, but the angel was even quicker.

His wings curved like flexible blades as he twisted his body, slicing Void's hand clean off.

Immediately, a new one grew back as Void grinned widely.

The angel threw a back kick, but Void crossed his arms and blocked it successfully.

Next, Void grabbed the angel's wing and yanked him forward.

With a brutal knee strike, Void smashed heavily into the angel.

Void's knee inched closer and closer as a red glow surrounded it.

Void had used his Origin

but he wasn't the only one, as the angel smiled.

Void frowned instantly and let go of the angel, but it was too late.

Even with the angel's back facing Void, Void felt deep contempt… as if the angel was looking at him like a mere cub.

"You just broke through. There's a lot you don't know yet, things you can't fathom, since you've never experienced them."

The angel slowly turned to face Void, but with each movement Void groaned.

With every step, every shift of the angel's body, Void's knee decayed turning into nothingness.

Void stood frozen in shock.

How?

How could this be?

Void was beyond puzzled he was flabbergasted.

The knee faded away entirely, but Void grew a new one instantly.

But this didn't stop him. Void went on the offensive.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

They clashed over and over again, sending ripples spreading across the fifth layer of space. Their power was clearly too much for the layer to bear, as cracks formed everywhere.

Gasp…

Void gasped slightly as he looked at the quasi Rank 4 angel. He wouldn't lie, in terms of realm, this angel was far above him. And they were dealing with Origins, not mere laws.

He was at a massive disadvantage.

How could he turn this around?

"So this is the being that wants the angel race erased… how disappointing," the quasi Rank 4 angel mocked.

You must know the two fought for a long period, wearing each other down with insane Origin attacks.

Now, the angel's armor was filled with holes, and he had lost one pair of wings.

As for Void, his body was riddled with injuries. His horns were missing, one pair of wings gone, and half his tail was missing.

The two looked battered, sending ripples of Origin energy across the already fragile fifth layer of space.

Just by looking at them, one could instantly see who had the upper hand.

The angel's smirk widened.

"Face it, demon… you've reached your limit."

Void's breathing grew heavier not from exhaustion but from excitement. His pupils thinned, glowing a savage crimson as black vapors spiraled around him.

"Oh?" Void grinned darkly. "Then let's… break past it."

Void instantly activated the Primordial Demon Body as his blood boiled, and a wild, savage aura descended upon him, spreading across the layer.

Before the angel could react, Void vanished.

Crack....!!!

A violent shockwave slammed into the angel's side, sending him tumbling through the fractured space like a rag doll. He stabilized himself with a flap of his remaining wings, but Void was already above him.

A kick came down.

The angel blocked with both arms...

BOOOOM!!!

The impact shattered the angel's golden armguards and forced the entire layer to tremble. Fractures spread like massive spiderwebs, splitting reality itself.

"You...!"

The angel tried to push Void off, wings glowing with holy light, but Void grabbed both wings and slammed him downward.

KRRAAAAAACCCK!!!

The fifth layer screeched as a massive tear opened behind their crashing bodies.

Void didn't stop.

He dug his claws into the angel's chest and dragged him through the shredded landscape of the fifth layer like a meteor tearing through glass.

Blood sprayed. Bones cracked.

The angel roared and burst with light, burning Void's arms to ashes...

But Void only laughed as they grew back instantly.

"You angels…" Void snarled, voice thick with amusement. "You break so beautifully."

The angel thrust his hand forward.

"Decay Pulse!"

A sphere of grayish-white radiance erupted point-blank.

Void's entire torso disintegrated instantly.

But he didn't panic.

His eyes opened behind the angel.

"Cute trick."

He grabbed the angel's neck.

SNAP!!!

The angel's head twisted sideways as Void hurled him upward, then appeared above him and hammered him with both fists.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOOOOOM!!!

Each punch grew heavier, faster, fueled by Void's battle frenzy. The angel's armor shattered completely, exposing divine flesh already corroding from Void's touch.

"ENOUGH!!!"

The angel unleashed a blinding burst of light, sending Void crashing backward. His body ripped through dozens of cracks as the layer destabilized further.

Floating fragments of broken space drifted like shards of shattered mirrors.

The angel's cold voice echoed:

"You call this strength? You're NOTHING but a newborn demon playing with powers you barely understand!"

"Heh…" Void wiped blood from his mouth, smirking. "And you're a walking corpse who talks too much."

They clashed again.

BOOM!!!

CRAASH!!!

WHAAM!!!

Origin against Origin.

Decay against abyssal essence.

Each collision produced blasts that devoured chunks of the layer.

The angel grabbed Void by the throat and forced his head back ...

"Perish..."

Void bit down on the angel's forearm, tearing a massive chunk off.

The angel shrieked.

The entire fifth layer shook violently.

Cracks spread.

Space wailed.

Void and the angel both paused not because they wanted to, but because the layer beneath them groaned with the sound of collapsing reality.

A deep rumble echoed.

R R R R R R R M M M M!!!

The cracks reached the core of the layer.

Void looked down, eyes widening with anticipation.

The angel looked down, eyes widening with fear.

"No… the layer..."

SHATTER!!!

The fifth layer broke beneath them like a collapsing world, the fragments falling away into an endless abyss of twisting dimensional storms.

Both Void and the angel were swallowed by the collapse.

Darkness.

Cold.

Silence.

Then

A new light spread beneath them.

But it wasn't holy.

It wasn't warm.

It was… ancient. Heavy. Oppressive.

The sixth layer unfolded like a tomb awakening.

Void and the angel slammed into a realm where gravity felt older than time itself. The air tasted metallic, cold, and dead. Strange whispers echoed faintly ...too quiet to understand, too dangerous to ignore.

Void slowly rose to his feet and looked around.

Floating ruins drifted lazily through the void, massive structures the size of universes, cracked, broken, abandoned. Some still glowed faintly with the dying breaths of forgotten worlds.

The angel's face paled.

"…No. The Burial Expanse."

Void raised an eyebrow. "Sounds cozy."

"That's no ordinary layer…" the angel whispered, stepping back in fear. "This is where corpses of Rank 4 and Rank 5 entities are found. Their remnants linger. Their whispers… devour sanity. Even we are not safe here. This layer holds a lot of death, creatures unwilling to die, their wills forever undying. There are opportunities, yes… but one slip-up, and we're done for."

Void smiled.

A slow, dangerous smile.

"Perfect place to bury you, then."

The whispers grew louder.

The air thickened.

The ruins around them groaned like hungry beasts awakening.

And the fight..truly

began anew.
