Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 316 - 315: Carnitl

Chapter 316 - 315: Carnitl

"Is he frightened?" one of the Quasi-Rank 4 angels asked.Although injured to varying degrees and unable to heal, all of them were stunned.

Throughout their battle with this demon, he had always worn that unsettling smirk, one that seemed to say, directly or indirectly:

I have everything under control.

No matter what they did, no matter the attacks they unleashed, it felt like pouring a bottle of water into an ocean. It couldn't even create a ripple, let alone harm this demon.

No wonder his name had been recorded in the Book of Life and Death.

He truly deserved it. Monster now felt like an understatement.

Under their watchful eyes, the demon slowly turned back toward them, his expression solemn.

"Seems you angels always have one trick or another. A race that has existed since the beginning of time… yeah, that judgment makes sense," Void commented, his voice calm as his thoughts drifted elsewhere.

If angels are already like this… then how terrifying was the ancient Abyss?

You must understand, the angel race was always connected, like an enormous chain-like network. That was why they often appeared stronger than demons.

Void didn't know what had truly happened, but based on the worlds he had visited, it seemed the Abyss had been fractured, shattered to such an extent that it had fallen into a lower state, becoming Hell to certain beings.

That raised a chilling question.

What actually happened in those ancient days?

Who or what had broken the Abyss into pieces?

But back to the present.

The demon race itself was terrifying. They weren't only fighting other races simultaneously they were also fighting each other. The Primordial Abyss and the Original Sin Abyss were perfect examples.

What would have happened if all demons united against a single race?

Alas, such a thing would never occur.

The title Enemy of All Races was no fluke. Demons were truly hated across existence.

"A demon talking about judgment? Funny. At least you didn't mention retribution," one of the Quasi-Rank 4 angels sneered.

Void's eyebrow twitched as his thoughts snapped back to reality.

Yes… that terrifying angel was coming.

At the very least, he needed to get rid of these five Quasi-Rank 4 angels first. Then he could use their souls as fuel maybe even boost his survivability.

"But wait, system… how strong must one be to be invincible within their own realm? What the fuck…" Void muttered.

The system ignored him which was good because at that moment, he felt a terrifying pulse erupt beside him.

"Huh…?" Void froze in shock as he looked at the five Quasi-Rank 4 angels.

Their eyes turned completely white as they spread their wings. Each wingtip touched another as their Origins were released.

Whatever this was, whatever was happening...it gave Void a very bad feeling.

BOOM...

For the first time in a long while, Void didn't hold back.

Fire Origin.

Primordial Demon Body.

All of his strength.

He even drew the Nameless Sword as he lunged toward the angels.

But just as Void closed the distance, only a few Mythological Units away, the angels spoke.

Their voices overlapped, layered upon one another.

"You… are too late."

BOOOOM...

A blinding white light flooded the Sixth Layer of Space as Void was hurled back faster than he had charged in.

His crimson scales burned red-hot as pieces peeled off his body.

Void clenched his teeth, his expression dark. A terrifying Origin clung to his scales, actively trying to erase his flesh.

But that was the least of his problems.

The five Quasi-Rank 4 angels were gone.

In their place stood a single being.

This angel was massive, its divine armor looked like a relic from an ancient war. Its blade was nearly as long as its body. Ten arms extended from its frame, each wielding a different weapon.

"Ahhh… how long has it been since I last came out?" a drawn-out voice echoed as cracks spread through space.

Crack. Crack. Craaaack.

The angel stretched, the sound of breaking reality following its movements.

Short blades, axes, maces, spears...countless divine weapons gleamed in its grip.

The longer Void stared, the more stunned he became.

Each weapon radiated an aura of mass destruction.

This angel was different. Its aura felt as though it stood above everything else.

It sent chills down Void's spine.

"What kind of being are you?" Void asked, shocked.

"Hahahahaha!"

"Young demon, there are many things you don't know, many secrets you are utterly oblivious to. Existence itself is insanity. Too bad you won't live to understand it. I will erase you completely. Your destiny ends here," the angel declared.

Its head was grotesque, covered entirely in eyes just like the rest of its body.

It was a disturbing sight, something beyond grotesque. Its sheer bulk made it even more horrifying.

An imperfect… perfect abomination.

"Haha… I'll say one thing, you shouldn't call me that," Void muttered, a grin spreading across his face.

The angel seemed amused. Though its aura appeared docile, any Quasi-Rank 4 being could tell it saturated the entire area, suffocating everything around it.

Yet this demon remained calm.

Fascinating.

"Call… you what?" the angel paused.

Void's grin widened even further.

" The angels that call me young demon usually have their souls eaten up afterward," Void said, licking his lips, his gaze fixed on the angel's chest.

The angel froze for a moment then burst into laughter.

"You? Hahahaha! Maybe they were simply too weak. But do you even know who I am?" the angel asked, the countless eyes forming a twisted smile.

"And if they were… will you be any different?" Void taunted.

Silence.

Shock flickered through the angel's many eyes.

"Always the arrogant young ones. You still think you can win," the angel said coldly. "He won't even need to make a move. I will personally destroy you."

Void felt his body tremble.

A terrifying aura began to brew as every cell within Void awakened.

You must understand, Void was five thousand Mythological Units tall. One Mythological Unit equaled the size of a universe. Even if universes were ever-growing, their expansion was painfully slow. They could be considered to span trillions to the power of eighty billion of light-years.

Void's cells alone were larger than entire galaxy clusters, each containing enough energy to house civilizations.

And yet… every single one of those cells was reacting to this being's aura.

Still, despite its terror, Void didn't feel overwhelmed.

He felt excited.

"System," Void murmured, eyes gleaming.

"Scan his stats."
