Chapter 361 - Strike Two
Chapter 361 - Strike Two
[ Warning! Warning! ]
[ Sudden Decrease in Luck! ]
’What the hell is going on all of a sudden?’ William thought.
’Anne’
’Yeahh’
’A little explanation please.’
’Welllll... We might have a small problem in our hands.’ Anne said with a bit of hesitation in her tone.
William suddenly felt a headache from long before coming to his head as a new notification sprang up in front of him.
[ WARNING! Luck is approaching the negative limit! ]
"WHAT!"
’Scratch the ’small’ part.’
[ Luck has gone below the negative limit! ]
’I think you should wear your seatbelt... tightly.’
William listened to Anne’s words as he saw his luck going down the drain.
[Luck: 54]
[Luck: 25]
[Luck: 02]
[Luck: - 01]
[Luck: - 70]
When the sudden spike of negative 70 appeared in his status, William’s eyes shot up in surprise and mild curiosity. He was surprised yes, still couldn’t help but knowing what the thing would bring.
It seems that his surprise didn’t go unnoticed as Delmar and Naomi looked at him with worry.
"Boss, is something wrong?"
"William, is everything okay?"
William heard their words but couldn’t answer them right now as he was talking with Anne at the moment.
’What the fu*k is happening all of a sudden ANNE!’
’I don’t know!’ Anne said, ’I’m sorry but I truly don’t know what is causing this phenomenon.’

The air that was bristling with thunderstorms and dark clouds, went away without a trace as the attack on the small jet on the horizon stopped for the time being.
The pilot gave a heavy sigh of relief as he saw the jets protective shield slowly beginning to rise. After checking the crappy weather report once more and seeing that there wouldn’t be another sudden barrage of lightning bolts striking them again he turned on the intercom.
[ Ladies and Gentlemen, This is your pilot speaking. ]
[ The Thunderstorm is now gone and all that is left is a small speck of rain from its sudden attac- Interuption. ]
[ Feel at ease everyone. The worst is over and now a big sunny sun awaits us in the horizon. Feel free to loosen your seatbelts and enjoy the view with me. ]
Hearing the pilot’s words made almost everyone in the jet sigh out in relief too. They too had felt the sudden barrages from mother darkness and didn’t know what to do.
They knew that they couldn’t do anything against such attacks and were only waiting to be fried... or burned. But now seeing the large sun slowly drop down and give a orangish red glow like that fulfilled everyone’s hearts from the worries and fear of death a moment ago.
Alas... they didn’t know that the worst still isn’t over.
Delmar and Naomi didn’t have the sigh of relief or relaxed look on their faces as they looked at William who was breathing heavily as his head hung low.
Naomi tried to touch his shoulder and ask him about his health but was stopped by a loosely hovering hand.
"Jus... Just give me a moment."
Naomi backed away as William took a few moments of rest. When he finally felt the pain wash away and a cooling sensation permeating his brain, he gave a sigh
"I’m sorry for that... it’s just a headache I seen to have since long ago that comes and goes without any warning."
Naomi instead of being satisfied was even more worried, "Is it something serious?"
"Well... Its-"
’William... your luck... it’s still the same.’
Hearing Anne, William again opened up his stats.
[Luck: - 70]
Seeing the negative still there, he knew that it wasn’t over yet.
Naomi misunderstood his anxious look and took that as an answer. But as she was about to ask him some more question, a roar sounded out.
"RAAAAAARHHHHH!!!!!"
The roar was from far away, but its intensity so swift and strong that the jet vibrated as the roar passed through it. The roar felt primal, monstrous even with how large and intent it was.
The pilot quickly typed a few things that opened up the side camera of the jet and showed some footage.
The pilots face was the first to dimorph into paleness as he saw what it was.
