Chapter 686: Gift (5)

I knew to some extent about the fourteenth student.

The two attention-seekers in our class, Goo Seulbi, and Ong Gildong were chasing after him to make him go to school.

I don’t know his name yet, but he’s a self-proclaimed Black Darkness Swordsman.

It was a nickname that induced embarrassment.

‘The attention seekers are in a draw. I guess they decided to play the last round in Eungwang High.’

I could guess why those three, who had been wandering abroad all this time, suddenly returned home.

Although they’re thirsty for attention, they’re still my playable characters and so they couldn’t pretend to be unaware of the crisis in Eungwang High.

‘They must’ve returned home in a hurry to try and help. Did the swordsman follow them? I guess he’s not that bad.’

Anyway, I couldn’t turn the other cheek because the attendance rate of our class was at stake.

As Hwang Jiho led, we went to the place where the battle was scheduled.

I saw more people as we got closer to the destination.

I ran into a lot of people and exchanged all kinds of greetings.

Students I take the same classes with and teachers found me in this crowd and greeted me.

There were some who mentioned the black snow, but no one asked for specifics.

They just greeted me with a job well done and a Merry Christmas.

“Hahahaha! Everyone seems to know that it’s thanks to you. It’s satisfying.”

Even if I tried to say that I didn’t do much, Hwang Jiho smiled meaningfully beyond the black snow.

He seemed to say that the snow was evidence.

It made me feel embarrassed, so I didn’t have anything to say.

Hwang Jiho laughed excitedly when he saw me speak less.

“Vice president!”

Then, I heard Maeng Hyodon’s voice.

To escape from the old man’s laughs, I walked quickly toward Maeng Hyodon.

He also rushed toward me through the crowd.

Seeing that he was breathing heavily, it seemed that he came running from quite a distance.

He was wearing the reindeer headband given by Min Geurin, and it almost fell on the floor because of his rush.

“Are you okay? When did you get back?”

“I got back today. I’m not hurt and I’m fine.”

Maeng Hyodon examined me with a grimace as if he suspected me.

He must’ve been very surprised when I fell to the ground in front of him.

I felt sorry as I should’ve adjusted the timing well.

“Your energy waves aren’t that good.”

“I think it’s because I used up a lot. My body’s okay though.”

“Are you sure?”

Maeng Hyodon tried hard to see any abnormalities in my body, but if there was something wrong, Hwang Jiho or Eunho wouldn’t have let me go easily.

He didn’t find anything in the end, but he still looked suspicious.

“Joo Soohyuk was very worried. And when you fell down, that crazy bastard...”

Is he talking about Hwang Jiho?

“Hahaha, I’m right here.”

“Oh?”

Maeng Hyodon looked surprised for a moment when he saw Hwang Jiho laughing.

He usually calls him crazyhead, but he seemed surprised that he was there.

Maeng Hyodon hesitated before asking carefully.

“...Are you okay?”

“Of course I am. Jo Euishin returned safely, and today is a good day to celebrate Christmas and Eungwang High’s safety.”

The good-natured Maeng Hyodon must’ve been quite worried even though he calls Hwang Jiho crazy.

Seeing Hwang Jiho smile naturally, Maeng Hyodon tried to talk to him but he closed his mouth again.

Then, someone else spoke.

This is the same place where Yong Jegun and Class 1-1 faced off.

I thought they would rent a gym around the freshmen building, but I didn’t expect the whole field.

It was more surprising that people gathered that all the stands were filled.

“We were worried ‘cos we couldn’t contact you. You’re Euishin so we thought you’d be fine, but the black snow was so...”

“Where’s the reindeer headband that Geurin gave you?”

“Daesok-ah...!”

Hit!

Song Daesok popped in while Kwon Lena was speaking.

He was wearing the reindeer headband on his head, though it almost came off when Min Geurin hit him.

‘It should be in our classroom locker. Should I go get it?’

When I was thinking about whether I could make it in time before the start of the match, Min Geurin put a headband on me.

She had one for Hwang Jiho and me.

“It’s okay, I made one for everyone and the teachers. From what Seulbi and Luis said, I don’t think the other two are coming today.”

Then the two headbands are for the kids whose names and faces we don’t know yet.

No wonder I hesitated.

“Take it for now. If you don’t mind, I can pass it on to the real owners.”

“Oh right, Jiho is a relative of the Chairman.”

“Hahahaha! I got in touch with one of the remaining students. As for the other one, I don’t know yet.”

Does he know one of the kids who refused to go to school?

He should persuade them quickly then, what is he doing?

Hwang Jiho, who wore the reindeer headband, said with a smile.

“Are you curious who it is? I can tell you if you’re really...”

“Forget it.”

I turned down Hwang Jiho’s offer very politely.

Dokgo Miro also spoke after listening to him.

“It won’t be easy to gather people like this at once even if we’re Class Zero. It’s strange.”

Dokgo Miro seemed to have the same question as me, and it was Kim Yuri who provided an answer.

“Ah, that Black Dark— that Mr. Swordsman might be the reason.”

Kim Yuri said the word “darkness” in a very small voice.

The Black Darkness Swordsman is said to have made a brief appearance at school yesterday which broke Kim Yuri.

After explaining what happened that day, Kim Yuri continued.

“I got his device code through Seulbi and Luis. I asked if he had anyone to invite here.”

Despite her busy schedule, Kim Yuri asked the Black Darkness Swordsman if he had people who could cheer for him.

I was impressed again by our class president.

“The attention-seeker kids went to our class’ picnic. It would be sad if there’s no one to cheer on him.”

Dokgo Miro seems to empathize, knowing her experience with public auditions.

Hani also nodded a little.

“Did he invite anyone? Isn’t it hard to get someone in without an account?”

“Fortunately, it’s a clear person so it was solved quickly. Oh, they’re coming!”

There were murmurs followed by a cheer.

I don’t know who appeared, but it sounded like a huge celebrity.

We saw the person soon enough.

I didn’t hear who it was yet, but I saw who came to cheer for the swordsman.

“Oh, those people.”

“I’ve only heard about them before...”

“...Ah.”

My classmates couldn’t speak when they saw the group.

They were martial artists dressed in black.
