Then three other drink officers, in a hurry, hoisted up a bottle of Erguotou, placed it on a small wheeled cart, and jogged it over to Mr. Furball, then opened it for him with a special opener.

It was Ma Lu's first time seeing Old Wang sample an ingredient. He didn't use his mouth but rather put a metal probe into the bowl to extract some of the liquid, and then started to test and analyze it.

About two minutes later, Old Wang withdrew the probe.

"But how come it didn't show up when I scanned it with the Traveler's Bracelet ingredient scanning function?"

"Oh, that's because this is an undiscovered new ingredient."

"What, there are ingredients not listed in the "Multiverse Ingredients Compendium"?" Ma Lu asked, astonished.

"Refined?"

"Yes. Like I said, it is actually an ingredient. Although it's fine to drink it as a beverage, it could taste even better with the right preparation."

"Can you do the refining?"

"No, I can't. My current Chef level is Level 4. I need to reach Level 6 to unlock the Recipe Research feature and create new recipes," Old Wang replied.
