Chapter 4: | 004 | Random Naval Spin Coupon
In the Humvee driving through the road, the lieutenant commander explained the intricacies of the port. He reported its three main sectors which were the Manufacturing, Transportation, and Defense Sectors.
"The Manufacturing Sector consists of about half of the current facilities we have in the port. Whether it'd be manufacturing supplies, ammunition, ordnances, and armaments. The sector would be able to produce such things as long as they have their needed materials."
"At the moment, the Manufacturing Sector is currently closed with its utility personnel having an indefinite day off for the time being. The same could be said with the Transportation Sector since we have no available cargo ships."
"Speaking of the Transportation Sector, it is the area of the port dedicated to transporting products, materials, and personnel. It owns half of the empty area in the port. After all, when things set off for the better."
"We can expect for the port to be busy."
While Morgen explained the first two sectors, the Humvee passed through the Transportation Sector. It was filled with yards and warehouses. There were also several cranes lying here and there throughout the sector.
Abraham also noticed the rail station and a railway, citing the possibility of a railroad encompassing the entirety of the island in the future.
He smiled while watching the beautiful scenery of the modern world.
At any rate, he continued listening to the explanation of the lieutenant commander.
"Finally, the Defense Sector. This place is exclusively used by military personnel. It is equipped with a radar station, a runway, and dozens of defensive fortifications of the Anti-Air, Anti-Surface, and Anti-Submarine classifications."
With that, Morgen concluded his introduction of the Port of Dawn. Abraham nodded in understanding as a sign of comprehension of the port's structure.
Although the port was at its basic level, it was a formidable military base. It made him wonder what the port would look like in its second or third level.
The Humvee soon arrived at their destination which was the branch office of the port. It was where logistics would be handled. Morgen and Abraham stepped out of the vehicle while the Humvee drove off.
Morgen led Abraham into the branch office building. It was an 8th-story concrete building with dozens of antennas and windows. There was even a Phalanx C-RAM on its rooftop.
Inside the branch building, the lieutenant commander stopped walking and looked back at the respected Fleet Admiral. He saluted at him and announced his departure.
"Sir, I will be departing to my office for logistic handling. Your office should be on the sixth floor with your uniform ready to be worn."
"Thank you for guiding me, lieutenant commander. I'll get myself ready." Abraham nodded and the lieutenant commander left after ending the salute.
Abraham was left alone in the branch office's hall. He looked around and noticed some navy personnel in their desk jobs. It looks like emerging in the middle of nowhere has its own fair share of problems.
He couldn't help but relate to those who supported the navy with their aching fingers.
Anyhow, he shook his head and walked towards the elevator door. He pressed the button pointing upwards and waited for the elevator to come down.
Several seconds later, the elevator arrived on the ground floor and its metallic doors slid open. Inside were several navy personnel looking at him in shock before saluting to their highest supervisor.
"Fleet Admiral, welcome to the Port of Dawn."
"It's an honor, Fleet Admiral."
"Good morning, Sir."
The personnel had various introductions, to which Abraham responded with a nod. According to Systema, it was good to be a man of few words.
He must only talk when needed to, which coincided with what he desired. After all, despite wanting to change, he was an introvert in and out.
Some silence was calming for the middle-aged man.
Abraham stood in front of the navy personnel. As the elevator rose to the sixth level of the branch office, he felt the observing gazes of the navy personnel.
It made him a bit nervous, but he didn't let it affect him too much as he understood that his rank probably attracted attention.

Out of nowhere, a digital screen materialized before his eyes. Inside it was information about his current circumstances. Or in other words, his status.
"Hmm... Random Naval Spin must be the gacha, and the Naval Points should be the currency of the system. I only have one base, but it implies I can have numerous bases under my command."
The information on the status screen was a piece of good news for Abraham. It made his sudden conjectures throughout the day have some weight.
"To get the NP I need to activate the gacha. I must accomplish Naval Tasks for its rewards." Abraham placed his finger below his chin and carefully thought about it.
"But how do I get Naval Tasks? Is there something I need?" His question was answered with the following mechanical ring.
*Ding!*
| Naval Tasks will be assigned when the Fleet Admiral has a ship to utilize. It would also depend on the ship's classification. A cargo ship will receive a naval task of trade while warships will operate in maritime security. |
Through Systema's explanation, Abraham understood that his Naval Tasks would depend on his ships. But it also made him hope to get a warship.
After all, he hadn't established supply or trading routes for cargo ships to use.
Who knows... There might be sea monsters and pirates lurking in the high seas.
"I'm feeling lucky today, so I guess it's time." Abraham clenched his fist with determination. He didn't care what kind of warship he got. As long as it was a warship, it was enough for the Fleet Admiral.
"Use the Random Naval Spin Coupon, Systema." Succeeding his words was the bell of Systema.
